Welcome to Mount Wise Community Primary School.

We'd like to thank you for visiting our website and hope you enjoy browsing the pages. We are a friendly, nurturing school situated in an amazing location right next to the sea and Mount Wise swimming pools. We are a part of Learning Academies Trust (LAT) and enjoy the opportunity to collaborate and work with our other LAT schools. We have links with Market Hall in Devonport and are proud to be graded a Good school in our most recent Ofsted inspection (2022). Mount Wise has its own nursery and classes from Foundation to Y6.   We are inclusive and welcome children from all over the city.

Children are at the centre of all we do.  We have a motivated staff who are committed to providing the very best care and education for each and every child, supported by our governors and the wider school community. We provide children with a solid foundation; equipping them with the values, skills and knowledge they need to live successful, healthy lives. 

We are an outward looking, busy school, who make the most of opportunities and links with local businesses and partners. Thanks to the support of these, we have a Wacky Forest and are creating outdoor learning spaces for our children to access. Our Y5 are incredibly lucky to be involved in the Widening Horizons project offered by Millfields Inspired. They visit many different locations to find out about the world of work and the diverse range of jobs available in our city. 

This term we are looking forward to celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 7th March by dressing up as our favourite book character or wearing pjs. We are also looking forward to a visit from PAFC and Pilgrim Pete before the end of March.
