Summer Term 1
Why did people travel to new places?
This half term we will be learning about the Pilgrim fathers and their famous journey from the Mayflower steps. We will find out all about Christopher Columbus and his expedition to find new lands and riches.
This week during RWI the children have been learning the story "The Enormous Turnip".
They have learnt actions to help them remember the words and have enjoyed practising and performing in groups and as a class
This week we have been very busy in year 2 getting ready for SATS! Our year one children have been learning to multiply and divide using the grouping and sharing method and are becoming very good at it. We have also learnt all about the life cycle of a sunflower and your children have written explanations to tell us what they have learnt and why it is called a life cycle.
