  Safeguarding during the Summer Break

  During the school holidays, the safeguarding team only monitors their email address weekly. If a child is in immediate danger, call 999. For other serious or urgent issues, contact Plymouth Local Authority Children's Services directly on 01752 668000 rather than waiting for a reply here.

  Children and young people can contact Childline free and confidentially on 0800 1111.

  Parents and carers can contact the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000. 

  If a child or young person is struggling with their mental health, they can text YM to 85258 for free, 24/7 crisis support. Parents wanting advice can also contact the YoungMinds Parents Helpline on 0808 802 5544. 

• Book and Football Lovers Meet Matt Oldfield

  A selection of Key Stage 2 children had a wonderful morning at Foulston Park, where they met the author Matt Oldfield. The session had read alouds from Matt, questions and answers, and a quiz based upon his books. All the children were brilliant with their knowledge and engagement, earning them a signed book. Thank you to the amazing Plymouth Libraries for organising this event.
