Introduction 

Hello, my name is Miss Grist and I teach the Puffins Class.

I have a passion for reading, care of the world and supporting young people to be the best version of themselves. I am an avid reader, plant lover and music enthusiast. You'll often find me on the beach or on the coast line with a book, enjoying nature. 

This will be my 4th year of teaching, I have been lucky to have started and continued my journey at Mount Wise! I am very excited to teach and support your children through Year 2. 

I love teaching the whole curriculum but my favourite subjects to teach are Art, Music and Reading. Take a look at what we will be learning about this term via the link below.

P.E

Our P.E day will be on a Thursday. Children are allowed to come to school in their P.E clothes. P.E kit should consist of black shorts/black tracksuit bottoms, a white t-shirt and black trainers.

After school clubs

If your child is attending an afterschool sports club they are to bring their P.E kit to school and change into it at the end of the school day.

Numbots/Times Tables Rockstars

We ask that to support their Maths knowledge, children access TTRS/Numbots at least 3 times a week. Logins can be found inside the front page of their reading records. If you are having trouble in accessing the website, please feel free to ask for assistance.

Reading

We have lots of amazing reading books for your children to read, which match their reading level. Please ensure you read with your child at least 3 times a week! Children accessing Accelerated Reader books will quiz on these (quizzes can be taken at home too! The website is below and logins are in their reading records).
