Welcome to Kestrels
Mrs Young
Hello I am Mrs Young and I am one of the Assistant Headteachers here at Mount Wise.
I have been teaching for over 20 years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of senior leadership roles within a school in Learning Academies Trust. I have a deep passion for teaching, particularly PE, English, and science. I love the energy and creativity these subjects bring to the classroom. Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially with my family, whether it's going for walks, exploring nature, or simply enjoying fresh air and open spaces.
Mr Booth
Hello I am Mr Booth and I am one of the Assistant Headteachers here at Mount Wise.
I can’t wait to meet you all. My passions include listening to rock and country music, reading, travelling to new places, going to the gym and drawing. I’ve been a teacher for 11 years and absolutely love everything about it, but my favourite subjects to teach are writing, reading and art.
P.E
Our P.E day will be on a Monday. Children are allowed to come to school in their P.E clothes. P.E kit should consist of black shorts/black tracksuit bottoms, a white t-shirt and black trainers.
After school clubs
If your child is attending an afterschool sports club they are to bring their P.E kit to school and change into it at the end of the school day.
Homework
We ask that the children access Times Table Rockstars at home to help support their times table knowledge - 3 times a week for only 15 minutes would be great! Alongside this, there is an expectation that children should read their school book most evenings in order to complete Accelerated Reader quizzes.
