Mrs Raftery

Welcome to Year 6.

Hello everyone, my name is Mrs Raftery and I am the year 6 teacher for Eagles. I have been teaching at Mount Wise for 11 years now. I am the Key Stage 2 lead and the maths leader. I absolutely love teaching and being apart of watching children learn, develop and grow. I enjoy being apart of the 'light bulb' moments children have. 

In my free time I like to venture out with my family, this often involves a walk with a coffee to hand. I also enjoy going to the gym and taking part in a range of sports. 

P.E 

Our P.E day is on a Tuesday. Children are allowed to come to school in their P.E clothes. P.E kit should consist of black shorts/tracksuit bottoms, a white t-shirt and black trainers. 

After school clubs 

If your child is attending an afterschool club they are to bring their P.E kit to school and change into it at the end of the school day. 

Homework 

We ask that the children access Times Table Rockstars at home to help support their times table knowledge - 3 times a week for only 15 minutes would be great! Alongside this, there is an expectation that children should read their school books most evenings in order to complete Accelerated Reader quizzes.
