Elmer Sculpture Painting

Today some lucky children from KS2 were invited to take part in an exciting workshop painting part of an Elmer sculpture for 'Elmer's Parade' taking place across Mount Edgcumbe this summer. The children helped to paint the sculpture at Salisbury Road Primary School, with other children from schools across the LAT. You will have to wait to see the finished result when they are revealed later this year at Mount Edgcumbe Country Park!

Science Week 2019

Junior Ten Tors 2018 - another tough year!
Wed 27 Jun 2018The Year 6 team completed the grueling Junior Ten Tors Challenge in a mix of weather, from sunshine to rain and fog, all in two days.

The School Council representatives enjoyed a visit to the Houses of Parliament.
Wed 27 Jun 2018On Tuesday 26th June the Year 4,5 and 6 councillors met at 6am to take the train to Paddington station and then visit the Houses of Parliament to learn about democracy and British law making.
We also has the time to walk around the city and see some famous sights including Buckingham Palace. The Queen was even at home (but we weren't invited in for tea!)

School Admission Consultation

Charities for this year

The School Council likes to decide which charities to support each year, this year we chose to support the following:
Local Charities:
The Food Bank – Harvest Festival: October
Summer Fair – School Funds: July
National Charities:
Children In Need: November
Sports Relief: March
International Charities:
UNICEF – Christmas Jumper Day: December
Sports Relief: as above
This half term our fund-raising projects are to support both Children in Need on Friday 17th November and also to participate in Christmas Jumper Day in December in aid of UNICEF.
Children in Need will be a fancy dress/mufti-day – children can come to school in the theme of spots or yellow or can come along in mufti instead. We ask that children bring a donation of at least 50p for Children In Need.
Although not a fund raising event, we also support World Book Day in March when we ask children to come to school as a book character.

Fantastic Farmers!
Mon 30 Oct 2017Well, we're back after an incredible week at Nethercott Farm. The children were a real credit to themselves, their families and the school, well done to all our 'Farmers for A Week'!
A huge thank you is also due to the staff who gave up so much of their time to allow the visit to happen, 140 hours on duty in a week! There is also a 'backroom team' who make such visits a success - the school office and leadership team as well as the school governors who supported the venture in the first place.
Here are some photographs of the farmers in action, a special assembly is planned later this month to allow you to see and hear all about the visit and find out who won the Best Kept Dormitory Award!
