Dear Parents/Carers,
Re: possible reopening of school to more pupils in June
We know you’ve seen in the news that schools may reopen on 1st June to Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 pupils if the government thinks it’s safe then. We will still be open to vulnerable pupils and pupils of critical workers not in these year groups.
We’re waiting for further guidance and clarification from the government right now, which will hopefully help us create an action plan for our phased reopening. We’ll share this with you as soon as possible so you know what the school’s reopening will look like in practice.
It’s a very unsettling time for us all, but rest assured that we’re going to be doing everything we can to make sure we’re ready to receive these year groups if it’s safe for our school to reopen in the coming weeks.
However, we’re also not going to be pressuring anyone to send their children to school, since you know your children and personal situation best.
We will be asking for your views, by phone, soon and we’ll keep you updated with all our preparations for making sure the school is as safe as possible, so you can make an informed decision.
In the meantime, the school is still open only for vulnerable pupils and the children of critical workers. We know some employers will be encouraging you to return to work, but we’re not in a position right now to extend places to other children until we receive further government guidance.
We’d like to thank you for your continuous support in helping your child learn from home. We’ll need to keep going with this for a while yet, so please do continue to do what you can and stay in touch with us about how your child is doing.
If you have any questions, please contact the school office.
Best wishes,
Mr. C West
Headteacher
Dear parents and carers,
You will be receiving a physical home learning pack this week from school - there will be GPC books, paper activities, a writing book, pencil and some plain paper. Please use this as and when you are able there are no expectations on what is done we just hope it helps along with the continued lessons/activities on your child's individual class page.
Many Thanks
Miss Hammond

Dear Parents/Carers,
All class pages are continued to be updated for weekly work for children to complete at home. In addition to this, BBC Bitesize have now launched online daily lessons for FREE, everyday for every subject. Follow this link for more details
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/dailylessons
Some of the 'guest teachers' include David Attenborough, Jodie Whittaker and Sergio Aguero!
We are working hard to try and get these out to you by the weekend but, as you may have seen on the News, the system is getting overloaded leading to delays in us receiving vouchers to pass on to you.
Packed lunches from school are still available at the moment for collection.
As the lockdown continues, schools across Britain have become EduCare providers. We will have staff in school to support vulnerable children and those whose parents are key workers.
These children will be engaged in a range of activities throughout the school day and will be kept safe by our school staff. Exact arrangement details may change as provision is reviewed, please keep an eye and ear out for text messages from school.
Here is the link to Accelerated Reader for our school. You can quiz at home during normal school hours
